We wrote about British startup unhurd in August 2021 when it raised its first £250k of funding for a platform that automates music marketing tasks for artists.
The company has now raised a seed investment round, and while the amount is undisclosed, the investors have been announced: Jagermeister’s VC arm Best Nights VC, Musiio founder Hazel Savage, and two execs from Kobalt: founder Willard Ahdritz and Kobalt Capital CEO Johan Ahlström.
Ahdritz is lead investor and adviser to unhurd, which says that more than 25,000 artists have used its service since it launched 18 months ago.
“I’m impressed by un:hurd’s approach to using artists’ data to guide decision making and execute powerful marketing and promo campaigns,” said Ahdritz in a statement.
unhurd says that it has already been used to generate more than 10m extra streams for artists using its platform.
