It’s nearing release time for web3 music startup Pixelynx’s mobile game Elynxir, which is aiming to give digital music collectibles a Pokémon Go spin.

No surprise, then, that the company is using NFTs as a way to offer players early access to the game. Yesterday it launched a series of free NFTs called ‘The Droplet’.

Each NFT will include music from a partner artist, but will also grant early access to Elynxir. The first drop was quickly snapped up, but more will follow.

In separate news, web3 music firm Opulous has reached a settlement with artist Lil Yachty, over an NFTs partnership announced between the two in 2021.

Yachty had sued the company claiming no such deal had been sealed; Opulous countered that its use of his name and likeness HAD been agreed with his team; but now a court filing from Opulous has revealed a settlement – although not the details.
