Peppa Pig, doo doo doo doo doo-doo, Mummy Pig, doo doo doo doo doo-doo, Daddy Pig, doo doo doo doo doo-doo *belch*… etc etc. We don’t know for sure what the Peppa Pig and Baby Shark collab track is going to sound like – it’s not out until 26 December – but we can hazard a strong guess about how it will go.
This is a meeting of two of the biggest animated children’s brands, struck by parent firms Hasbro and The Pinkfong Company. The full-length video and short-form clips will launch for YouTube and social platforms on Boxing Day as part of the celebrations for – and this should make everyone reading this feel their mortality – the tenth anniversary of Baby Shark.
It’s part of an expansion of Peppa Pig’s musical universe too: the brand is setting off on tour in North America for ‘My First Concert’ – a production that will see a live orchestra playing songs from the TV series, as well as showing Peppa and family learning about some famous historical classical works.
