With 2.8bn global monthly active users, Facebook is clearly a platform that needs careful attention from artist teams. With more and more monetisation features for artists and the launch of premium music videos on the platform, in direct competition with YouTube, Facebook has gained renewed attention and relevance.
This module explores the various ways artists can best utilise the platform to promote their music, connect with fans and drive revenue. We go in depth on how best to optimise an artist’s Facebook Page, looking at the various settings and tools to make best use of the platform’s backend. We also look at tips and tricks on how to drive engagement across posts and videos, whilst providing you with inspiring content examples.

Marlen has a background in music and brand partnerships, initially working for Universal Music in Germany and Switzerland. She subsequently obtained a Masters in Music Business Management in London, further developing her expertise in areas such as integrated marketing campaigns and Intellectual Property and Copyright Management. Since joining the Music Ally team, she works across their marketing services and delivering training to a wide range of clients including the MMF and BPI. She also writes for the Sandbox publication analysing the latest marketing tools and case studies.
