German music biz hails digital growth
What was that about Germany’s reputation for being a stick-in-the-mud when it comes to digital music? The industry has been protesting its merits, with a report from body Bundesverband Musikindustrie noting that 22.1m Germans accessed digital music in 2011, up from 18.4m the year before.
