Shazam has brought back unlimited free tagging to its free iOS app. It was previously restricted to five tags a month and the premium version costs £3.99. Users who have paid for the premium version will still have ad-free usage. CEO Andrew Fisher stated that ‘Shazamers’ identify 1 billion songs a year and generate over $100m in revenue from track purchases as a result.
